OPINION PRODUCTION: In Fiscal Year 2008, which ended August 31, 2008,
Justice Brister wrote 11 majority opinions, 18 per curiam opinions, four
concurrences, and five dissents. With a total of 38 opinions Scott Brister led the
Supreme Court in productivity for FY 2008. Members of the 14 courts of appeals,
however, routinely issue a multiple of this number per year, both in civil and criminal
